Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so I decided now is the time to share my NB wine pics that will go great with your turkey dinner. If you live within driving distance of one of our fabulous wineries, get out there for a beautiful Saturday or Sunday drive this weekend and pick up some local wine. There are plenty of other delicious local wines that you can have with your turkey dinner, so make sure you sample whatever interests you. Don't let yourself be trapped into believing only white wines can be served. Let your taste buds make the decision for you. As an extra bonus, you could get all four wine and offer your guests a mini tasting before dinner. Give everyone a tasting card to make notes and let the adventure begin. Mott's Landing - Prairie Star $17This Goldilocks wine (not too dry, not too sweet) is refreshing and will go down very well with your turkey and mashed potatoes. It has a slight sweetness that lightens the flavour, and will please those guests that find a dry white wine too crisp. Dunhams Run - Long Reach $20This delicious white wine blend is surely going to please your dinner guests. It will nicely offset the sweetness of your carrots and yams, while pleasantly cutting any heaviness in your gravy. Fill you plate! Gillis of Belleisle - Cranberry Ceilidh $15A cranberry dessert wine, you might not even want the sauce. On top of being delicious, this wine retains many of the healthy properties of cranberries. Using local honey, this wine is sweetened to a delicious finish. Serve chilled in small glasses for maximum enjoyment. Winegarden - Dr. Victor McLaughlin $12The only red wine on my list this year, the Dr. Victor McLaughlin is light in body and retains some residual sweetness. It won't overpower your dinner, and will add a delicious contrast to your meal with it's fruity notes. Other winesOf course I couldn't actually leave this list at four wines. Other favourites are Belliveau Orchard Champagnette, Magnetic Hill Illusions, Gillis of Belleisle Apple Spice, Dunhams Run Hopped Up, McKay's Wild Blueberry Wine (Sweet), and Mott's Landing Frontenac.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Can't forget about Magnetic Hill Winery's gold medal Mystique , an off-dry cranberry wine is incredible with turkey.
